Jay’s early favorites — Beatles, Zeppelin, Sabbath — soon made way for prog bands like Yes, Genesis and Rush. As an aspiring teen guitarist he found that of all his heroes’ playing, Alex Lifeson’s quirky and intricate style fell into his hands in a natural, almost familiar way. Decades later, after playing bass or guitar in many Sacramento bands — including the Chris Squire role in Yes Tribute, Parallels — Rash was born.
In 2010 Michael joined the band with a very unique talent. He has provided keys and vocals in many original and cover bands. Discovered by Rash while singing Tom Sawyer with a Bay Area cover band, Michael jumped at the chance to perform Rush full-time.

Michael brings the vocal spirit and synth wizardry of Geddy Lee to life before your very ears. Few Rush tribute bands can boast a voice that so closely recreates Lee’s sound and style. It’s a little shocking, frankly, to hear this guy nail one of the most unusual and exceptional voices in music history.

He was also singer/songwriter in the Brian Cline Band, credited with with several albums releases.
The last founding member to depart post-pandemi was drummer Jeff Tuttle. Having played with John during a hiatus in the past he was our first call when Tuttle left.

Inheriting his passion and love for diverse music from his father — a professional musician — John was introduced to Rush at age 11 and became a huge fan. This lead him to become a multi-instrumentalist, adopting a complex Peart-inspired songwriting and performing style. John has played in many local cover and original bands and has recorded as both a band and studio drummer.
Eric, a bassist and keyboardist himself, has been a Rush fan ever since hearing Tom Sawyer in 1981. Eric collects and repairs vintage keyboards which he uses to create signature Rush sounds and effects. His uncompromising sound design and artistry behind the mixing board make him Rash’s secret weapon.
